Reocurring yeast infections can be an awful experience. It can be difficult to know exactly what keeps triggering them, and how to keep them at bay. If you’re tired of fighting yeast infections again and again, try following some of this advice:
1. Cut out refined sugar, as this can feed the Candida bacteria in your body.
2. Avoid foods that contain yeast and mold, such as mushrooms, dried fruits, white vinegar and canned vegetables. These can also make Candida grow.
3. Try to cut out dairy products as these can trigger allergic reactions. Try using sheep and goat products instead of those from cows.
4. Reocurring yeast infections are more likely if you use antibiotics, which can weaken your immune system and kill of your friendly bacteria. Dairy products can also contain antibiotics. Instead, strengthen your immune system with a daily dose of garlic.
5. Make sure you keep the balance of acid and alkaline in your body. If you take in too much acid then you will find that Candida multiplies. This is why you should consume acidic foods, such as fish, dairy and grains, only moderately until you get back your pH balance.
Unfortunately everyone is different, and reoccuring yeast infections can be notoriously difficult to treat. The methods mentioned above may only be useful in some cases. It’s important to look to the long term causes and treat them with natural methods.
